Perth gets a better Idea

Perth is a melting pot of web awesome-ness. Some say it's because we are so isolated from everything else that we have had to develop strong web and communication skills to make it in this world. These people are of course, just jealous.

The fact is that Perth's web industry is so great because of our Ideas. Ideas is a micro-conference hosted by AWIA (Australian Web Industry Association). The last one was 2 years ago and I unfortunately was locked in a cage trying to figure out why my SQL had a limit on it's recursive call-stack (it was 32 I believe and completely arbitrary [please don't ask]) and so I missed it.

Well now Ideas is back again (number 4 for those playing at home) and it looks like it's going to be a heck of a lot of fun. For your $35 ($25 if you're already a member) you get to hear two of Australia's leading speakers, Lisa Herrod and Rachel Cook, along with rumors of an international guest (Please let it be The Walrus). Lisa is going to be talking about usability and Rachel is talking about start-ups and from all I've heard, both are extremely accomplished presenters. On top of all that you can rub shoulders with the best and brightest of Perth's Web Industry.

To get your ticket along with more details on the event or the presenters head over to the official AWIA page Ideas4.

P.S. If you don't come I'll tell Bronwen where you live.
